Trio of Florida State Seminoles honored

Miami Herald Writer

For their roles in No. 3 Florida State’s 30-17 win over USF on Saturday, a trio of Seminoles were named Atlantic Coast Conference Players of the Week at their respective positions.

Redshirt junior center Bryan Stork was awarded Offensive Lineman of the Week, senior defensive Tank Carradine won Defensive Lineman of the Week and senior kicker Dustin Hopkins won Special Teamer of the Week.

Healthier Team

Last season the Noles were 2-3 at this point in the season; this year they’re 5-0. A key reason for that has been health. Unlike last season, Florida State hasn’t had an abundance of injuries.

“[We came out] really well,” coach Jimbo Fisher said when asked how his team came out of the USF game health-wise.

“We’ve got the typical bumps and bruises, things like that, but we’re in really good shape.”
