Funeral services for Broward Sheriff’s Office Deputy Christopher Schaub, who was killed in a motorcycle accident last week, will be 11a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Chapel, 2401 W. Cypress Creek Rd., Fort Lauderdale.

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to be inside the church by 10 a.m.

The following roads will close at 10:15 a.m. to accommodate the funeral procession: Southbound Federal Highway between Copans Road and Atlantic Boulevard; westbound Atlantic Boulevard to Powerline Road; southbound Powerline Road to Cypress Creek Road; westbound Cypress Creek Road to the church.

Schaub served with the Broward Sheriff’s Office for 22 years and was named the Pompano Beach District’s employee of the month multiple times.

Gov. Rick Scott directed flags of the United States and Florida be flown at half-staff Tuesday at the County Courthouse of Broward County, Coral Springs City Hall, and all Broward Sheriff’s Offices.

Schaub is survived by son Timothy Schaub and daughter Kaitlyn Schaub; brother Raymond Schaub; and sisters Cynthia Schaub and Barbara Chiaputti.
