It’s been 20 years since last visiting the beach at Crandon Park when I took my grandchildren who were visiting from Pensacola.
What a disappointment after being at the pristine beaches of Pensacola.
We were walking in slime and stepping on discarded soda cans along the water’s edge.
The water and slimy brown sand looked so polluted that we packed up vowing to never visit again.
What kind of message does this send to our tourists who come here to enjoy clean beaches?
I do hope it can be cleaned up in the near future so we can be proud to take our children and grandchildren to the beach.
