The Miami-Dade Public Schools system opened its doors in 1885. Since then, millions of students have passed through its classrooms. And many have become movie stars, politicians, athletes and tycoons.
For the first time in its history, the district, with the help of The Miami Herald, is making public a searchable names database of notable alumni.
To search for a student in this database, select the school from the drop down menu and scan the names of the alumni from each school. We know we might have missed some well-known students. To add a person to the database, send their name and any public school attended to Alumni@dadeschools.net. We will verify their enrollment and determine if they warrant inclusion in the database.
