New depth chart out
UM released a new depth chart Monday for the North Carolina State game. The most significant changes: 6-8, 340-pound junior Seantrel Henderson now is listed as a co-first-team left tackle with usual starter Malcolm Bunche, a 6-7, 325-pound redshirt sophomore; and 6-5, 310-pound senior Ben Jones is listed as a co-first-team right tackle with 6-6, 314-pound freshman Ereck Flowers.
“Ben had 53 snaps in the game, and he graded out extremely high,” offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch said. “So when Ben went in and had those reps and executed the way he executed, he deserved that spot, and he deserves the opportunity to compete with Ereck. It obviously will help Ereck get better, just like Seantrel and Malcolm.”
• Sophomore Phillip Dorsett was named the ACC Receiver of the Week, while redshirt freshman Eddie Johnson was named ACC Linebacker of the Week for outstanding performances at Georgia Tech.
• Punter Dalton Botts (ankle) and linebacker Denzel Perryman (ankle) did not practice; linebacker Raphael Kirby, who had his right ankle taped, also didn’t practice. UM reported that receiver Malcolm Lewis (ankle), out for the season, would undergo surgery.
