Coral Springs doctor admits to role in pill racket

 

A Coral Springs doctor admitted that he allowed a chiropractor to dole out prescriptions with his pad without him first having seen the patients.

A Coral Springs doctor pleaded guilty on Monday to conspiring to illegally distribute pain pills, anabolic steroids and human growth hormones at several South Florida locations, including his practice and a West Palm Beach business.

Dr. Steven Pearlstein, 57, who has been placed on emergency suspension by the Florida Department of Health, pleaded guilty at a hearing in federal court in West Palm Beach, court records show.
