Margate Walmart jarred by fatal shooting

 

A Walmart employee shot to death by an alleged shoplifter — who police say then ran away and shot himself — was described as ‘outgoing’ and ‘helpful.’

An employee at a Margate Walmart paid with his life after a shoplifter tried to take two packages of Hanes T-shirts that cost $16, according to police.

Police said that 22-year-old Terrell Kennith Johnson shot and killed Luis Jhon, 49, a loss-prevention officer who was helping his fellow employee deal with Johnson during questioning on Friday at the Walmart store at 5555 W. Atlantic Blvd. in Margate.
