Injury report

There were no major surprises on the final injury report. Out for Saturday’s game are linebacker Denzel Perryman (ankle), defensive back Andrew Swasey (lower extremity), linebacker Raphael Kirby (knee) and defensive tackle Curtis Porter (appendectomy).

Already out for the season is linebacker Ramon Buchanan (knee), and added to the “out for the season” list is snapper Sean McNally (lower extremity). McNally, a 5-10, 214-pound walk-on junior, was injured in the Bethune-Cookman game.

New snapper

The Hurricanes must now rely on 6-1, 262-pound redshirt senior walk-on Paul Kelly, who is from Davie and went to Archbishop McCarthy High. His UM bio says he was a defensive lineman at John Carroll University in Ohio before coming to UM. Kelly earned second-team All-Broward honors as an offensive lineman at Archbishop McCarthy and also played on the defensive line. He set the school record for fumble recoveries. UM coach Al Golden lauded Kelly for taking over for McNally during the Bethune-Cookman game and performing flawlessly.
