Several Hurricanes were still nursing injuries Wednesday during practice.

Safety Vaughn Telemaque (left knee) practiced, but is not at 100 percent. Telemaque said he “is fairly close.’’

Coach Al Golden said Wednesday afternoon during the ACC coaches’ teleconference that Telemaque is being monitored. “We’re hopeful that in the next 72 hours he’ll get over the hump. He has made considerable progress during the week.”

Wearing yellow jerseys, meaning limited contact, were wide receivers Allen Hurns (concussion) and Kendal Thompkins (lower leg). Golden said Hurns “is definitely a full go for Saturday’’ at Georgia Tech (2-1, 1-1 ACC).

Defensive end Shayon Green wore a yellow jersey and had his right knee heavily wrapped again. He has had reconstructive surgery on that knee for a torn ACL twice during his career at UM (2-1, 1-0).

Wearing red jerseys, meaning no contact, Wednesday were linebacker Raphael Kirby and defensive back Andrew Swasey.

This and that

• Linebacker Gionni Paul, who sustained a knee injury in fall camp, said he is playing on the weak side and middle and that his knee “is 100 percent. I’m looking to make a strong leap forward at Georgia Tech.”

• Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson said Wednesday that wide receiver Jeremy Moore has left the team, citing personal reasons. Moore has three catches for 64 yards.
