acave@MiamiHerald.com

Broward’s League of Cities is offering high school students the opportunity to serve a two-year term exploring the inner workings of municipal government.

The Student Ambassador Program is open to high school juniors who attend a Broward County public or charter school.

Four students will be selected to learn about their local government, meeting city officials and attending League of Cities events.

In their senior year, the students also mentor new ambassadors.

Applications are due by Nov. 16. For information on the program or how to apply, go to browardleague.org.
