The lowdown: Hair, tattoos, cocktails — oh my! Tön Vangard salon is not your run-of-the-mill salon. Slated to open this September, the Barcelona, Spain-based beauty parlor is moving into Fort Lauderdale. “Tön Vangard is a new salon concept that combines hair, ink, body and drink in an edgy, European style,” Tön Vangard CEO Anthony Lordi says.

The ‘hood: The salon is situated in the bustling Federal Highway corridor.

The vibe: Think minimalist with a dose of quirk. Spanish designer Jacinto Caetano created a stylish, funky, and functional 2,000-square-foot space replete with black and white color schemes reminiscent of the groovy ‘70s. Split into two sections, the front consists of a relaxing café featuring a wide range of drinks such as the Beauty Colada in addition to European coffees, wine and beer. The back half boasts hair and body esthetic stations, from private body inking to facial spa services and Xtreme Lashes.

The highlights: “Currently, there are no other salons that mix sophistication with individual expressionism in Fort Lauderdale. We look forward to introducing a new environment that will bring the concept of body ink to a new level, and that brings with it upscale hairstyling, beauty esthetics and makeup services,” Lordi says.

Also of note? The menu of services starts as low as $20.
