Re the Sept. 9 story Miami-Dade mayor wants to replace 136 Metrorail cars at cost of $313 million: What is Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez thinking? We need jobs, especially manufacturing jobs, here in the America, not in Italy or Spain. It’s worth paying a little bit more to manufacture the Metrorail cars in the United States, as it would help reduce our unemployment here.
Gov. Rick Scott turned down federal funds for high-speed rail in Florida, and Gimenez turns his back on American manufacturers. Are they really Americans?
