The recent charge against former Education Secretary William Bennett’s publicly traded corporation, K12, using uncertified teachers and lying about it isn’t surprising.
The only profit from public education should be for the students who learn and those who are certified to teach them; certainly not investors in public corporations.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Gov. Rick Scott are advocates for charter schools and online education, where the teaching of our future citizens takes a back seat to capitalism run amok.
