TALLAHASSEE -- Learning a lesson
After experiencing the hype that surrounded last season’s top-10 matchup between FSU and Oklahoma, coach Jimbo Fisher hopes his team has learned to block out distractions. The then-fifth-ranked Seminoles lost 23-13 to the then-No. 1 Sooners in Tallahassee.
No. 4 FSU plays host to No. 10 Clemson this Saturday.
“We’re going to need to play even better this week,” Fisher said. “We’ve got a great opponent. We’ve got a great challenge ahead of us; you all get to have a circus. The national media and all that good stuff — I’ll be interested to see how we handle that.”
• After being held back in Saturday’s win over Wake Forest, right tackle Menelik Watson will be a go for Saturday’s game against the Tigers.
Daniel Glauser made the start in Watson’s place. Watson saw time as a reserve in the second half.
“He could have gone,” Fisher said Monday morning.
