Focus has Fisher ‘happy’

As Florida State heads into the first week of its Atlantic Coast Conference schedule, coach Jimbo Fisher was pleased with his team’s direction Tuesday.

“I’m very happy with the focus,” Fisher said. “They played on both sides of the ball today in good-on-good situations and, for the most part, it seemed pretty good.”

The Seminoles face Wake Forest (2-0) this weekend at Doak Campbell Stadium. Last season the Demon Deacons defeated the Seminoles 35-30 in what was FSU’s third consecutive loss. This year, the Seminoles don’t plan to take Wake lightly.

“They’re a good football team,” Fisher said. “They’re very sound. They’re very good. They can make plays.”

Rhodes Day-to-Day

Junior CB Xavier Rhodes (Miami Norland) is day-to-day as he battles a flu bug. He should be ready to play by the end of the week.
