Golden Panthers schedule series with Bethune-Cookman in 2013 and 2014

FIU has agreed to a two-game series with Bethune-Cookman in 2013 and 2014, with both games to be played at FIU Stadium. The 2013 game replaces a game bought out by Texas A&M. Bethune defeated FIU in each of the first two seasons of the program, 31-0 in 2002 and 24-14 in 2003.

Robinson out for year

A torn meniscus sustained on FIU’s first kickoff Saturday will end the season for senior linebacker Alex Robinson. Despite the loss of Robinson, one of FIU’s best special teams coverage players, kickoff coverage and field-goal execution were two of the special teams areas with which FIU was happy.
