Weather alert: Rain expected Tuesday; breezy, hot conditions rest of week

Don’t forget to pack an umbrella: Rain is expected throughout South Florida.

A 50 percent chance of rain is expected on Tuesday, along with high temperatures near 87 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Most of the rain will take place after 2 p.m.

The chance of rain will diminish to 30 percent for Tuesday night. Conditions will be mostly cloudy, and temperatures will hover around 80 degrees.

Wednesday through Thursday will also see a 30 percent chance of showers, with mostly sunny conditions during the day on Wednesday and Thursday, and partly cloudy conditions Wednesday night.

Winds will pick up on Wednesday, with gusts blowing as high as 21 mph. Temperatures will be near 88 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, and will drop to the high-70s Wednesday night.

The chance of rain, along with wind speeds, will lower on Thursday night, and will continue through Saturday. A 20 percent chance of showers is expected for the region from Thursday night into the weekend. Temperatures will be in the high-80s during the day and high-70s at night.
