Miami woman claims $1 million Mega Money jackpot

A Miami woman claimed the Mega Money jackpot of $1 million at Florida Lottery headquarters on Friday.

Ida Coello, 52, of Miami, chose the one-time, lump-sum payment option of $836,561.08.

Coello told lottery officials she typically spends a dollar or two playing a variety of Florida Lottery games but decided to spend $5 on Mega Money the day she bought her jackpot-winning ticket, which hit Sept. 4.

Coello purchased the ticket at a Winn-Dixie at 3701 NW Seventh St..

The store will received a bonus commission of $1,000 for selling the Quick Pick ticket.
