One of two flooded Gulfstream Park casinos reopens

One of two casinos at Gulfstream Park reopened on Sunday, a day after the poker rooms were back in business.

Gulfstream Park said its second-floor casino is now open. The casino had been closed since Sept. 2 when a breach in a 13,000 gallon aquarium caused extensive water damage.

Gulfstream’s poker room, located on the first floor, reopened Saturday afternoon

"Both our casino and poker room went through renovations over the past week, including new paint, carpet and furniture," said casino spokesman Mike Couch. "With our poker room and second floor casino open, we will now focus on our grand reopening Friday morning.”

The grand reopening will include a week of giveaways for customers, he said.
