Less than a month before the premiere of Jersey Shore, cast stalwart Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is keeping the South Florida justice system busy.
The 30-year-old star is involved in four — count ’em, four! — lawsuits here.
He’s going after three companies that allegedly owe him money, and he’s being sued in the fourth case for not keeping his trademark rock-hard abs hard enough.
“Season 6 is coming, and he’s expected to become the alpha male on the show again,” said Richard Wolfe, his busy lawyer. “A lot of people tried to take advantage of Mike, and my job is to make sure they don’t.”
Why is it all going down here? Sorrentino’s a part-time resident of Miami Beach.
Wolfe filed two suits on the same day, Aug. 23, in Miami-Dade Circuit Court.
The actions, against nightclub promoter Diversified Group and apparel company Headrush Brand, are for alleged nonpayment of a total $200,000 in promotional fees.
In one instance, The Sitch says Headrush was to give a custom-built motorcycle after a dog-and-pony announcement. However Headrush, according to the suit, didn’t ship the chopper to his other place in New Jersey as promised.
Sorrentino, meanwhile, is famously suing clothier Abercrombie & Fitch in Miami’s federal court for allegedly using his likeness without permission.
In the one case in which Sorrentino is a defendant, the maker of an anti-fat cream wants back $150,000 it paid Sorrentino.
Why? Shortly after inking the deal, Sorrentino checked into drug rehab.
“Mike has a great mind for business,” Wolfe said.
Getting ‘Real’
Speaking of reality shows: The launch party for Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Miami is scheduled Sunday at The Forge in Miami Beach.
Don’t bother heading over there, however. The red carpet plus cocktails hour plus bite-sized appetizers can’t be had by the public.
In all, 250 people have received the hard-to-get access and opportunity to mingle with Season 1 stars Lea Black, Marysol Patton and Adriana de Moura, and Season 2 additions, celebrity chef Ana Quincoces, dentist-to-the-stars Karent Sierra, supermodel Joanna Krupa and Lisa Hoschtein, wife of plastic surgeon Lenny Hochstein.
I’m told some of the ladies will show up in Fisker Karmas hybrid sports cars made famous by Justin Bieber.
The season kicks off on cable’s Bravo Thursday night.
Ring man
Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Johnson is refusing to lose his wedding ring.
He was spotted by paparazzi as he browsed through stores near Lincoln Road Wednesday afternoon with the band he received when he wedded Evelyn Lozada on July 4.
Lozada filed for divorce days after the August 11 spat that had him arrested and cut by the Fins.
AND FINALLY . . .
. . . Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima has yet to be reunited with her Maltese tea cup dog, Ivy. The pooch, whom the hottie described as “my best friend,” was lost in Little Havana a little more than a week ago after it bolted from a friend’s house. It was spotted near Marlins Park but hasn’t been seen since.
