If you have guns or pills you want to get rid of, Miami-Dade and Broward counties are offering cash and anonymity.
A gun “Buyback Program” will be hosted in Miami-Dade while another one for prescription drugs will take place in Broward on Saturday.
Coconut Grove N.E.T. will buy back guns from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Paul AME Church, 3680 Thomas Ave.
Those interested could receive up to $100 for their fire arms and a gift card from Milam’s Supermarket or Publix Supermarket.
No questions will be asked in relation to the firearm.
In Broward, the Sheriff’s Office will collect prescription drugs.
Participants will have the opportunity to shred information-sensitive documents (limit of five boxes per car) and turn in their expired or unused medications for a $5 gift card (one per family while supplies last).
The prescription drugs collection will run from 9 a.m. to noon at Lowe’s Home Improvement in Pompano Beach, 1851 North Federal Hwy.
