In Lynn Nottage’s Pulitzer Prize-winning ‘Ruined,’ women of the Congo find ways to escape and transcend the violence that has become an all too common part of their lives. Lela Elam, Trenell Mooring, Jade Wheeler and Renata Eastlick play the survivors of an ongoing war in the production opening this weekend at GableStage in the Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Ave., Coral Gables. A $65-per-person preview at 8 p.m. Friday benefits the work of the Footprints Foundation in Congo. The play opens at 8 p.m. Saturday, with regular performances at 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday (no evening show this Sunday), through Oct. 7. Tickets are $37.50-$50.
