Metromover’s Brickell loop will be closed until further notice, Miami-Dade Transit spokeswoman Karla Damian said Thursday.

The track was initially closed on Tuesday 4 so workers could carry out maintenance and repair work. But an MDT statement then indicated there was no date for reopening.

Free bus-shuttle service is being provided to take Metromover riders to all stations on the Brickell loop.

“The Brickell loop will reopen once the maintenance and repair work is completed,” the statement said.

The inner and Omni loops continue to run as scheduled through the downtown Miami area.

For more information, transit customers can call 311, or 305-891-3131, weekdays, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. TTY users can call 305-499-8971.
