There’s a new baby in Tori Spelling’s house.

The actress turned reality star gave birth Thursday to a boy named Finn. His stats? Six pounds, 6 ounces and 20 inches from head to toe. Spelling, who wanted the sex to remain a secret until the very end, made the announcement on her website and Twitter.

The baby is the 39-year-old’s fourth child with 44-year-old actor-husband Dean McDermott.

Spelling, who was seen riding a scooter while out shopping a few weeks ago, admitted this pregnancy was unplanned as she gave birth to daughter Hattie a mere 10 months ago.

She also has a son Liam, 5, and a daughter, Stella, 4. McDermott has a son, Jack, from a previous marriage.

Spelling said on her website this week that the pregnancy would probably be her last. Be careful, then!

Drug charge

The actor who played David Starsky in the 1970s police drama Starsky & Hutch is fighting a drug charge in Kentucky for what he says is medical marijuana from California.

The Daily News in Bowling Green reports an attorney entered a not guilty plea on Thursday on behalf of 69-year-old Paul Michael Glaser of Venice, Calif.

Bowling Green police charged Glaser with possession of marijuana and a pipe on May 10, hours after he read an excerpt of his young adult novel, Chrystallia and the Source of Light, to students at a middle school.

According to a police citation, Glaser said he had medical marijuana prescribed to him in California. He was arrested after an anonymous call to police that a man was smoking marijuana in a hotel.

On the mend

Eddie Van Halen is recovering after undergoing emergency surgery, reads a statement on his band’s website. The Van Halen guitarist, 57, went under the knife for a “severe bout” of diverticulitis, pouches formed in the wall of the intestine that cause pain when inflamed.

The rocker was diagnosed with tongue cancer in 2000, and he subsequently lost part of his tongue during a aggressive treatment that included an experimental radioactive rinse. In April, Esquire reported that new throat cancer cells were discovered and after treatment was declared cancer free again.

Mayday hero

Simon Cowell isn’t a meanie, more like a hero. According to his lady friend’s Twitter account, the music mogul rescued nine passengers on a sinking boat. The 52-year-old and Brit-American singer/former X Factor judge Sinitta were vacationing off St. Tropez Wednesday when they heard a distress call. He and his crew sent out a smaller boat to get the people and brought them to his vessel and helped pump water out of the boat, The London Evening Standard confirmed.
