Florida: Sarasota Blues and Music Festival

Sounds like fun

Organizers for the 22nd Sarasota Blues and Music Festival are promising national headliners and a family friendly atmosphere Sept. 29 at Ed Smith Stadium. You’ll need to bring blankets, lawn chairs and plenty of enthusiasm. Otherwise, everything’s taken care of. Among the artists scheduled to appear: two-time Grammy winner Delbert McClinton and supporting acts Royal Southern Brotherhood (which features Devon Allman, Mike Zito and Cyril Neville), Ana Popovic, Curtis Salgado, Paul Thorn and prodigy act Pett Crow.

Details: Tickets on sale now at www.sarasotabluesfest.com. Gates open at 11 a.m. Sept. 29, with music from noon to 10 p.m. Advance sale general admission tickets (age 15 and older) are $22, $27 day of show. VIP tickets are $75 while they last. Children 14 and under free when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
