FSU athletic director Randy Spetman gets contract extension

Athletic director Randy Spetman received a one-year contract extension through February of 2014, according to a public records request performed by the scouting network Rivals.com. Spetman is set to make $350,000 with an opportunity to earn bonuses based on Florida State’s finish in the Director’s Cup.

Spetman came to Florida State from Utah State in 2008.

Soggy Day

Despite getting pelted by rain from Hurricane Isaac, FSU still managed to get in its practice on Wednesday afternoon.

Reid Done for year

Greg Reid was dismissed from the team in early August and enrolled at Valdosta State. On Wednesday, VSU coach David Dean said Reid had torn his ACL and will miss the season. Reid has a year of eligibility remaining should he redshirt this year.
