Miami Dolphins
Miami Dolphins game-by-game breakdown

| Sept. 9: @ Houston, 1 p.m. (CBS) | No easy start for the Dolphins, with a Lone Star State showdown against arguably the AFC’s best team. Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson and Arian Foster are too much. |
| Sept. 16: Oakland, 1 p.m. (CBS) | It’s a new year, and a new coaching staff in Oakland. But it’s still the same old Raiders. Ryan Tannehill makes fewer mistakes than Carson Palmer, and Miami wins at home. |
| Sept. 23: N.Y. Jets, 1 p.m. (CBS) | So many plotlines, so little time. The return of Tony Sparano. Tim Tebow back in the place where his 2011 Cinderella story began. But Miami’s defense is the X-factor on this day. |
| Sept. 30: @ Arizona, 4:05 p.m. (CBS) | The Dolphins could become relevant with a 3-1 start. But a rookie quarterback, no matter how good, is bound to err. Tannehill throws three picks, gets “outdueled” by John Skelton. |
| Oct. 7: @ Cincinnati, 1 p.m. (CBS) | First-year defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle is a Marvin Lewis disciple. Which means, the mentor knows all his pupil’s tricks. Andy Dalton-to-A.J. Green is unstoppable. |
| Oct. 14: St. Louis, 1 p.m. (FOX) | The Rams are built the same way the Dolphins are — new coach, young quarterback, star running back, questions on defense. But St. Louis, at this point, simply does it better. |
| Oct. 28: @ N.Y. Jets, 1 p.m. (CBS) | The bye helps Miami get healthy, but at this point in the season, Mark Sanchez may have given way to Tebow. And Tebow, as we all remember from last year, wins ugly. But he wins. |
| Nov. 4: @ Indianpolis, 1 p.m. (CBS) | Halfway through the season is the time you would expect a rookie quarterback to begin to get it. Tannehill figures out enough to outplay No. 1 pick Andrew Luck to snap a four-game slide. |
| Nov. 11: @ Tennessee, 1 p.m. (CBS) | Teams win at least one game they’re not supposed to every year. This is the week Miami does just that. Jake Locker coughs up the ball at inopportune time. |
| Nov. 15: @ Buffalo, 8:20 p.m. (NFLN) | Terrible turnaround for Miami, which has no time to prepare for the Bills in the frozen north. New Bill Mario Williams picks on RT Jonathan Martin, and Tannehill has little time to throw. |
| Nov. 25: Seattle, 1 p.m. (FOX) | The upside of a Thursday night game is Miami gets a mini-bye heading heading into Seahawks game. The extra time off helps figure out Pete Carroll’s stout defense. |
| Dec. 2: New England, 1 p.m. (CBS) | New England has absolutely owned Miami in recent years, winning eight of the last 10 meetings. But even Tom Brady has off days, and Miami wins at home. |
| Dec. 9: @ San Francisco, 4:05 p.m. (CBS) | A cross-country trip to face the NFC’s best team? Not much the Phightin’ Philbins can do with this one. Niners’ defense is ravenous. |
| Dec. 16: Jacksonville, 1 p.m. (CBS) | Chad Henne is the backup to Blaine Gabbert, but if Gabbert doesn’t pan out, it could be Henne Time again in Sun Life Stadium. Good news for the home team either way. |
| Dec. 23: Buffalo, 1 p.m. (CBS) | Technically still alive in the playoff hunt but with their hopes on life support, the Fins play a meaningful Christmas Week game for the first time in years. Buffalo QB Ryan Fitzpatrick plays Grinch. |
| Dec. 30: @ New England, 1 p.m. (CBS) | Most coaches rest their stars in inconsequential games. Bill Belichick is not one of them. A Foxboro game during the holidays equals a disappointing season finale. |
