Horse found slaughtered in Southwest Ranches

A missing brown thoroughbred horse was found this week slaughtered in Southwest Ranches, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

The 8-year-old brown horse, named Marco, was reported missing about 7 a.m. on Saturday from Just Perfect Landscaping at 5345 SW 210th Ter., BSO said on Tuesday.

That same day, at 5:30 p.m., workers less than half a mile north, said they found a slaughtered horse.

His remains were found near the fence line for South Eastern Fish Farm, 5100 SW 210th Ter.

Investigators believe the horse was stolen sometime between Friday and Saturday.
