Woman dies after being pulled from ocean on Miami Beach

 

Rescue workers on Sunday were unable to save a woman pulled from the ocean on Miami Beach.

The woman was brought to shore around 3:30 p.m. near 56th Street and Collins Avenue.

Rescue workers did everything they could, said Miami Beach police spokeswoman Det. Vivian Hernandez.

The woman, believed to be in her 50s, was rushed to Mount Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

The woman’s name has been withheld pending the notification of her next of kin.
