Vegan workshops at Books & Books

Want to join Bill Clinton, Ellen Degeneres and all the other cool kids on the vegan bandwagon? LJ Steinig will teach you how at a pair of 90-minute workshops at 2 p.m. Saturday and Aug. 25 at Books & Books, 265 Aragon Ave., Coral Gables.

Steinig, the founder of Veganlicious Miami Meetup, will cover such topics as stocking a vegan pantry, eating at restaurants, what not to wear and “Not becoming a preachy vegan.”

The two-part series costs $100 and requires reservations. Students will receive a 20 percent discount at the Café at Books & Books by Chef Allen on the day of each class; 305-442-4408.
