The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Two college students, fed up with their aching feet, founded CitySlips out of their dorm room in 2009. The foldable rubber-soled ballet flats pack neatly into a zippered pouch that then doubles as a tote to hold those painful high-heeled shoes. CitySlips are available in colors ranging from metallic to animal print and cost $29.95 at www.cityslips.com. Just a note, the girls reached more than $1 million in sales their first year in business — that’s more than a few pairs of sore feet.

Dry oil turns 20
