Two FIU sophomores buoyed by scrimmage performance

Off their play in Saturday’s scrimmage, sophomore defensive end Giovani Francois and redshirt sophomore center Donald Senat took some snaps with the first-team units in Monday morning’s practice. Also, redshirt sophomore wide receiver Mitch Wozniak, who got into nine games as a special-teams player last year, was moved to outside linebacker and safety and forced a fumble at Monday morning’s practice. Wozniak played safety in high school.

Injury update

Freshman linebacker Josh Glanton’s toe injury doesn’t appear serious, and he should be out of the protective boot by late in the week. Freshman defensive end Marques Cheeks was limited Monday with a shoulder problem.
