A mobile home in Deerfield Beach caught fire for the second time in the last month and a half.
The first time it caught fire was July 3; the second time was Friday — one month and one week later.
Around 3:30 p.m. Friday, a neighbor noticed smoke coming from the trailer at 206 Northeast 49th St. in Highland Village Mobile Home Park.
Fire Rescue crews from the Broward Sheriff’s office found smoke streaming out of the front door and a hallway inside the home. The rescuers put out the fire immediately.
It is unclear whether anyone was in the trailer when the fire started, but according to a release from the Sheriff’s office, no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Broward Sheriff Fire Marshal’s Bureau and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
