The play’s the thing in Mad Cat’s ‘The Hamlet Dog and Pony Show,’ and boy is it different from the same-old ‘Hamlet.’ Ophelia (Emilie Paap) and Hamlet (Troy Davidson), for instance, spend part of their odd, intense courtship texting each other. Music and Heiner Müller’s postmodern ‘Die Hamletmaschine’ also play a part in Paul Tei and Jessica Farr’s intense, maddening, provocative take on a classic. The run winds up this weekend at The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse, 404 NW 26th St., Miami. Final performances are 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday; tickets are $30 ($15 students).
