The new Island City Stage launches this weekend, co-producing Tom Jacobson’s ‘The Twentieth-Century Way’ with Empire Stage. Michael Westrich, left, and Clay Cartland play actors in a multi-layered , based-on-fact sting that entrapped gay men in 1914 California. Michael Leeds directs the show, which runs through Sept. 9 at Empire Stage, 1140 N. Flagler Dr., Fort Lauderdale. Performances are 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 5 p.m. Sunday; tickets are $30.
