Everglades Flamingo ramps to undergo repairs

Miami Herald Staff Report

Boaters who use the Flamingo Marina inside Everglades National Park in Homestead will experience limited access to boat ramps this month as they undergo repairs.

Workers will be performing pavement repair work on the ramps starting Tuesday and running through Sept.1.

Access to each of the ramps will be closed entirely for periods of up to one day.

On some days, access to the boat ramps will be restricted to one lane or will be totally closed.

Boaters will experience limited access to the Florida Bay and Whitewater Bay during certain times while repairs are in progress.

For more information on when work will be done at the boat ramps, contact Everglades National Park at 305-242-7700.
