Jamie Foxx, Timbaland and the mother of P. Diddy, Janice Combs, were seen Monday night celebrating a friend’s birthday at Philippe. Foxx and a gang of 12 was also seen on the same night at Prime 112 before heading to Mansion, where he did what he does best: grabbed a mic and a bottle of Moet Rose and performed his new Kanye West collaboration Pride N Joy live with his pal Fat Joe. Foxx also managed to share his bubbly with the women in the crowd, pouring glasses for them at random. Also seen in the club: BET’s 106 & Park host AJ Calloway.
Donald Sutherland was seen Wednesday at the Continuum South where he was allegedly looking at a condo for sale.
Flo Rida just announced that he is hosting a fan appreciation concert Aug. 16 at Bamboo Nightclub on South Beach in celebration of his smash club hit Hey Jasmin, recorded as a gift in the form of a free download to his fans, which he will perform along with a few of his other big hits. Tickets will be available for purchase. For more information, check his website, http://www.officialflo.com.
As much as nostalgic nightlifers would love to see the return of Liquid, some will also be elated to hear that the somewhat short-lived Snatch Rock ’n’ Roll Bar, housed in the same space from 2006ish to 2008ish, will be returning. This time it’s taking over the dingy, divey and beloved space formerly known as Studio, the karaoke bar in the belly of the Shelborne. As for what you can expect in the new and improved, er, Snatch? “Signature debauchery and true rock ’n’ roll,” says Vanessa Menkes, senior VP of communications for The Opium Group of Mansion, SET, Cameo and Mokai DNA fame.
The original Snatch had a mechanical bull, but it became more famous for being the place where mechanical, animatronic insta-couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes made their Miami debut together. Such fun was had with those headlines! Expect the new and improved Snatch to open sometime in the fall. We can hardly wait for the puns and games.
