Memorial Pembroke Hospital for sale

jdorschner@MiamiHerald.com

The land and buildings of Memorial Pembroke Hospital are up for sale for $54 million.

The South Broward Hospital District, which operates the 301-bed facility, has a contract on the property through 2025. A spokeswoman said the sale would have no effect on hospital operations.

The 8.6-acre property at 7800 Sheridan Street is owned by Hospital Reality LLC, according to Broward County property records.

Adam Tiktin, the listing agent, said he put the property on the market in early 2009 for $62 million, but it didn’t attract a buyer. “The seller is more motivated to sell now,” Tiktin said. He said the Memorial Healthcare System has an option to extend the lease by an additional 25 years.
