The Presbyterian Church (USA) has targeted Israel with criticism and actions that are biased and hypocritical. It has condemned Israel for actions taken to survive. Yet, it is blinded by actions Arabs take for the sake of the homeland. The church has remained silent when innocent Israeli Jews were murdered — does Bulgaria 2012 or Munich 1972 mean anything? Where are the church’s sanctions?
Recently, the Presbyterian Church (USA) narrowly defeated a divestiture motion against Israel. It did pass a boycott motion for products made in the occupied territories. Where are sanctions against Russia (Georgia), China (Tibet) or Turkey (North Cyprus)? All these counties have occupied territories. Yet, there’s silence.
Do I smell the aroma of anti-Semitism from this mainstream Protestant church?
