Giuliana Rancic has no time for nesting while she awaits the birth of her son. The E! anchor is busy tending to other pressing celebrity matters at the Olympics.

Interviewing athletes is getting her into a fit state of mind. Her choice of cardio: Zumba, the Latin-inspired, dance-aerobics phenomenon. She packed her DVDs and toning sticks so she shake her stuff in her hotel room.

“It’s exercise in disguise. You’re dancing and having fun, and the next thing you know you’ve burnt 1,000 calories. It’s like being in a nightclub but without the smoking and drinking.”

Rancic and her husband, motivational speaker Bill Rancic, will have to be in good shape when their gestational carrier gives birth in a few weeks. Fortunately, Giuliana, who turns 37 next month, is a morning person — as are most newborns.

“I woke up at 5 to go to this gym today and I started thinking, ‘Am I going to be able to do this once the baby comes?’ It’s a crazy time, but all good stuff.”

After a rough road the past four years — fertility treatments, a miscarriage, breast cancer and subsequent double mastectomy — Rancic is taking a well-deserved maternity leave.

“I’m just going to enjoy it and really savor every moment,’’ the Giuliana and Bill star says of motherhood. “I’m thrilled. I can’t wait.”

Though there’s one event that could reel the red-carpet queen back in.

“I may return for the Emmys [Sept. 23]. I’ve worked at E! 11 years and never missed one. If I didn’t love it, I wouldn’t do it.”

Though the reality couple will be traveling less once they’re parents, they’ll head to South Florida Oct. 26 for Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation’s 9th Annual Go Pink Luncheon at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, raising money for breast cancer.

“It’ll be a quick trip because we’ll have the baby with us,’’ she says. “We’re just trying to figure out how to kind of balance everything.”
