Police search for suspects involved in Miramar carjacking

Miramar police are searching for two suspects involved in the carjacking of a blue 4-door Honda that led to a manhunt in Miami Gardens early Friday morning. Three other suspects were taken into custody after a search that included officers from Miramar and Miami Gardens.

“The suspects were seen by one of our officers and followed into Miami Dade,” said Gil Bueno of the Miramar police. “We are trying to identify and locate the suspects."

The incident began at around midnight when Miramar police responded to a call of shots being fired from a car in the 3400 block of Foxcroft Road.

Miramar Police followed the suspects and were aided by Miami Gardens police, where the Honda was spotted.

The five suspects ran out of the car in the area of Northwest 199 Street and 32nd Avenue, where three -- all males -- were arrested.

There is no official description of the remaining two suspects. Miramar police continues to investigate the incident.
