Little Havana shooting victim identified

The identity of the victim of a Little Havana apartment shooting Wednesday night has been released by police.

Robert Cantillo, 23, was shot several times inside an apartment at 922 SW Second St.

Miami police said Cantillo knocked on the door and was allowed inside by the residents of the apartment shortly before 7 p.m. Gunfire was heard a few minutes later.

According to police, Cantillo died at the apartment. There are no suspects. Everyone inside the apartment was taken to the Miami Police Department’s Homicide Unit for questioning.

Police said the shooter may have arrived with the victim and could have fled after the shooting.
