Man fatally shot in Little Havana apartment

 

Police said they were questioning the apartment’s occupants and searching for a person of interest.

A man was shot and killed in a Little Havana apartment Wednesday night.

Miami police said the victim walked up to the apartment at 922 SW Second St., knocked on the door and was allowed inside just before 7 p.m. Minutes later, gunfire was heard.

Police said the victim, who was not immediately identified, was shot several times and died at the scene.

All of the people inside the apartment were being questioned by police, and detectives were searching for a person of interest. The motive for the shooting was unknown.

Police asked anyone with information to call the Miami Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 305-603-6350 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
