Immigration agent pleads guilty to groping women

 

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer admits to sexually assaulting women while in his custody

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer pleaded guilty to three civil rights offenses on Tuesday for sexually assaulting three women in his custody.

Officer Paulo Morales, 47, admitted in U.S. District Court in Miami of groping the breast of three women in January 2011 while they were in the custody of Customs and Border Protection at Miami International Airport. The encounters were not consensual and happened while he was working.

Morales’ sentencing is scheduled for October and he faces up to three years in prison and a fine of up to $300,000.
