Kim Kardashian walks the green carpet

Kim Kardashian has excellent timing. Of course she does.

The reality star flew into town Friday amid the buzz of Swim Week to show off her new collaboration: with Midori melon liqueur.

If you watching her show Keeping Up With the Kardashians and its various spinoffs, you know that Kim doesn’t really like or tolerate alcohol well. She realized the irony.

“All the drinks my friends drink, I can’t do it,’’ Kardashian admitted on the green carpet outside the Delano Beach Club. “I need something really light.”

Hawking booze isn’t all that’s going on: Kim has another E! reality show in the works.

“I can’t really talk about [the project] yet, but it’s fun for me to step back behind the camera and create,” said the ubiquitous star, dressed in a white, figure-hugging Versace with light green prints and nude pumps.

With all her traveling, she was happy to be on the other coast. “I love Miami. What better place to celebrate?”

But even Kim can get sidelined by perspiration.

“I usually use a spritzer to keep my makeup in place, but I forgot it tonight,’’ she said, fussing with her new bangs. “I’m very hot and can’t wait to get inside and cool off!”

The event wasn’t all business; boyfriend Kanye West quietly slipped into the party later, where the two cuddled in a cabana and chatted with Larsa Pippen, formerly of the Real Housewives of Miami. Oh, to be a fly on that wall.

Side shows

Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek: Swim wasn’t all about the hottest water wear and runway shows. There were also many opportunities for companies to strut their products.

At Saturday’s Swim Soiree presented by Hawaiian Tropic Sun Care poolside at the Raleigh, VIPs visited tents filled with various sponsors. While the DJ beats pounded, you could get your photo taken in front of a tropical backboard, sip pretty pink drinks and enter to win things like an expensive swimsuit or an actual Mercedes.

Over at the Lifestyle Retreat Lounge at the Shelborne, insiders got a taste of Sweet & Tipsy cupcakes, which have an alcoholic edge; rosé wine by Whispering Angel; and mini makeovers by Mary Kay Cosmetics. Sports Illustrated models Nina Agdal and Julie Henderson stopped by, and organizers said Beyoncé was invited and expected. But there was no sign of the new mom.
