Three wounded as Fort Lauderdale dispute leads to gunfire

An argument between neighbors in Fort Lauderdale escalated into a shooting late Sunday.

Three victims with non-life-threatening injuries were being treated at Broward General Medical Center, police said. Fort Lauderdale police detectives at the hospital were trying to get more information from what they described as “uncooperative” witnesses.

The shooting took place about 10:30 p.m. in the 2300 block of Northwest 16th Court. The victims were in their late teens to early 20s, according to police. Police had made no arrests by 11:30 p.m.

Calls were made to police reporting a shooting near Dillard High School, several blocks away, due to the same incident, police said.

Investigators asked anyone with information to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
