Coral Springs gets ‘negative outlook’ credit rating

 

Moody’s downgraded Coral Springs’ financial standing, but the city is taking corrective steps.

For the first time, Coral Springs has received a “negative outlook” from the credit rating agency Moody’s Investors Service for seven series of general government bonds.

In layman’s terms: if the city doesn’t improve its financial situation, it will have to pay more in interest to attract buyers for future bonds.
