In honor of Mercedes Benz FashionWeek: Swim, the celebs are getting into the spirit and stripping down to their itty bitties.

Dancing with the Stars hostess Brooke Burke appeared at the launch party Thursday evening at the Raleigh for the Lisa Blue label. The party included a peppy flamenco dance by Burke’s costar, pro dancer Karina Smirnoff.

But it wasn’t all work and no play for Burke. The fit mother of four decided to use the trip as a mini vacation for her and husband, former Baywatch lifeguard David Charvet.

The couple were photographed earlier in the day poolside at an unidentified hotel (no stalkers, please!) while Burke Tweeted about their day, posting to her followers. “Romancing poolside in Miami. Just ordered a bottle of Rose. About to kick my hubs butt in backgammon.”

There was a down side to their trip: no privacy. “Crazy paparazzi here hiding in the bushes & trees. Too funny.”

As for Christina Milian, the singer turned bathing suit designer also attended the Lisa Blue show, hanging out in the swank Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge lounging on the couches.

She also took advantage of down time and hit the beach for real, actually swimming in the ocean.

“SouthBeach love the sound of the waves crashing #crashintoyou,’’ Milian Tweeted, perhaps in a nod to the Dave Matthews concert Friday evening at Cruzan.

Model behavior

The temperature wasn’t the only thing heating up South Beach Thursday. It was also day one of the Muscle Milk Fitness Retreat and Oakley Learn to Ride at the Beach House at the Shore Club. The private bungalow was full of hot bodies working up a sweat in the mid-summer heat and refueling on Muscle Milk Light throughout their fitness-induced day.

The adrenaline started pumping early in the morning as DJ Irie kept the hip-hip yoga class energized; four-time Ironman champion Chrissie Wellington led an intense cycling class followed by a beach run, demonstrating how to train like a triathlete. The crew took to the waves where they got a lesson in paddle boarding from Oakley professional surfer Erica Hosseini and SUPCore creator Noelle Kozak during the Oakley Learn to Ride session off the shores of South Beach.

After jet setting across the country, CoverGirl spokesmodel Dania Ramirez was scooped up in a Subaru just in time to show off her bikini body during day one of the fitness retreat. The X-Men star donned a hot pink suit while paddle boarding and watching boyfriend John Land show off his cannonball skills afterward in the private Beach House pool.

Beauty king

We know we are going to see some amazing bodies on the runways at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week: Swim, but let’s not forget the faces.

MAKE UP FOR EVER’s celebrity artist James Vincent says we can expect lots of metallic and smoky eye, red lips and bold brows. He’ll be hanging out at the Raleigh, dispensing advice to the curious and clueless Saturday.

Is being tan out? “In moderation it’s always gorgeous and more modern,’’ said Vincent, who did Snooki’s make-under when she announced her pregnancy. “I thought keeping her more natural made her look softer and more subtle and glowing.”

The legendary Wonder performed for well over two hours, singing covers by The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Bob Marley as well as his own greatest hits. Wonder also invited some of the audience, this writer included, to audition for him on his hit, Part Time Lover. While he told us we were better than the previous, uh, contestant, we’ll be keeping the full time day job.

    Amanda Bynes: hot mess extraordinaire

The term “hot mess” doesn’t come close to describing Amanda Bynes. The troubled actress appeared disheveled in a long blond wig and sweats Friday in a criminal court where she was charged with reckless endangerment. She was also charged with attempted tampering with evidence and unlawful possession of marijuana, all misdemeanors.
