Re Jim Morin’s July 13 cartoon depicting a Penn State football player with his mouth sewn shut and holding a paper that says: “Child sex abuse cover-up”: As a Penn State fan who lives in State College, I know that most fans are devastated over this scandal. I can appreciate that there will be editorials and cartoons at Penn State’s expense.

But this is a scandal and cover-up that involved those at the top echelon of the university, not the football players. To draw a football player in this manner is a slap in the face to young men who had nothing to do with these events.
