A body was found on the MacArthur Causeway Tuesday afternoon.

Workers doing tree trimming between Watson Island and Palm Island noticed the body of a black male in the bushes on the westbound side of the causeway.

A Miami Beach police spokesman said the body had been there less than a day.

Police are investigating the identity and the cause of death.
